The Model 520 Multipurpose Sector Scan Hydrogel tissue mimicking phantom provides a comprehensive means of evaluating the performance diagnostic imaging systems.
The phantom is designed with a combination of monofilament line targets and cylindrical targets of varying sizes and contrasts. |
The monofilament line targets have a diameter of 0.12 mm, to optimize the displayed image at frequencies ranging from 2.25 to 7. 5 MHz.
Five groups of line targets are provided to evaluate the vertical and horizontal calibration measurements, axial-lateral resolution, sector angle and dead zone.
Seventy-five anechoic target structures are positioned in-line vertically, thereby, permitting an entire target group to be displayed in one view.
Two groups of gray scale targets ranging in contrast from +15 to -15 dB are provided to evaluate the system’s displayed dynamic range and gray scale processing performance.
